Its physically impossible to hold your breath for more than two hours – but!!
seductive circus show Le Noir will leave you feeling like you have.
From fast-paced skate tricks, which saw Australian performer Jessica Ritchie
flying through the air, and unbelievable balancing acts, to the anxiety-inducing
Ariel Cradle and Wheel of Death stunts, The Dark Side of Cirque is sure to leave
your heart racing and jaw on the floor.
The risqué show features 22 top performers, a mix of award-winning athletes
and former Cirque Du Soleil stars, demonstrating impossible skill, strength,
stamina and flexibility through a series of spectacular stunts with commentary by a
hilarious clown, who makes it his business to keep the audience in stitches.
With the plethora of circus acts making their way through festival circuits or
as touring shows in recent years, you might have seen a couple of these stunts
before – but not like this.
Le Noir is a feast for the senses. Visually, it’s captivating.
But perhaps the most unique part of Le Noir is the custom-built semicircle on-
stage seating available, which puts audience members up-close to the action.
The ringside table tickets might be more than double the cheapest ticket price,
but the intimate experience is unparalleled.
During the phenomenal strong men act, it was possible to see the duo’s
muscles quivering under the pressure with the naked eye and the contorting
choreography of the Aerial Hoop took place almost right above the seat.
The feather fans in the hands of the dancers will brush your face, confetti and
glitter will rain down into your lap and, if you’re lucky (or is that unlucky?), you
might be plucked from the crowd to join a fake band or picnic with the MC.
This isn’t your standard circus, folks. It’s a little bit naughtier and a whole lot
scarier and it will leave you on the edge of your seat.
Come over to the Dark Side – it’s so much more fun here.
